Dr. Nicholas Kollerstrom talks with Carolyn about his latest book titled “How Britain Initiated Both World Wars.” The book began as a talk he gave, on two different nights, to a monthly meet group he belongs to in London, and it retains something of the conversational style. But the ideas it contains about who wanted war have been in Kollerstrom's mind for a much longer time. He said he was quite nervous about stating his ideas, especially  on World War II, to British people, and the fact that it was well-accepted by his group gave him the courage to publish it as a book.

The illustrated book is only 99 pages and the price only 4 quid (four English pounds) or $5 U.S. It's a bargain both in price and in the fact you get a good understanding of behind-the-scenes shennaigans without having to read 300 to 500 pages, or more. These wars were both tragedies that robbed Europe of it's self-confidence, as Nick explains in this podcast.

The book is available at Amazon. Nick's author page is here, where you can see the other books he's written. I did a previous show with Nick on his book Breaking the Spell. Visit his website at Terror on the Tube.

I think there was one big mistake. I have read Stefan Scheil's book about Ribbentrop. He says that Ribbentrop believed in peace when he flew back from The Soviet Union, but he did not assure Hitler that the Brits won't fight. I think everybody knew after the treaty between Pland and Britain that the wari will be inevitable. Scheil says that all the statements about Ribbentrop wanting the war and believing that Britain would not fight are the lies from the Brits and the traitors in the Auswärtiges Amt (Germany's Foreign Ministery) who were Weizsäcker, the brothers of Kordt and others.

From Hesse's mission they finally knew that next day the declaration of war would be coming. Hitler did not cry to Ribbentrop. He just asked, what now should be done.

Ribbentrop did not want the war. He did not encourage Hitler to the War. He did not say the Brits would not fight. All these are just lies. The traitors themselevs did encourage Hitler to the war and wanted much more from Poland. They would not have made a deal with Poland in 1934 or later. Unlike the nationalsocialists did. The "nazis" wanted friendship with Poland.

Hitler said he would be an idiot, if he would have let himself to the World War because of Poland, if he would have another possibility. He had no choices because he knew that Britain wanted the war. In the Autumn he would have lost the war because of the weather. The Poles said they would attack Danzig and they would have. And without this the Brits would have started bombings or some provocations or falseflags. They knew it.

Ribbentrop had for years warned that England was planning the war and it would attack in any case. There were much talk for years in the floors and the cabinets of power. Churchill and the FOCUS were preaching for the war publicly from 1936. The propaganda machine had rolled and the people brainwashed.

At the same time there was the appeasement. Ribbentrop said that the appeasement was a fraud. The leaders of England needed an alibi for the war. It was Chamberlain who started the process of the annexation of the Sudetenland into the Reich. He promised it to the Germans. Scheil says that Chamberlain maybe did not want the war but he could not avoid it. Hitler and Ribbentrop believed he was just a pawn of the leading plutocrats so he could not do otherwies. I think too he eventually had to do what the USA and the plutocrats wanted. He has said himself that the World Jewry and the USA forced England to the war and he felt he had written a doom for the whole civilization with the declaration of the war.

So the revisions of the Versailles were good for the coming war and the Brits provided them, although they afterwards said they were humiliations and they must be stopped and cancelled.

When England and Poland refused to negotiate, Hitler knew the War was unavoidable. And Ribbentrop too. They had not another choice. The legends about Ribbentrop are dangerous because they create a picture of many choices. So if the book is about the guilty of Britain, it accuses Hitler too, if the author really believes these lies about Ribbentrop and Hitler.

When England and Poland refused to negotiate, Hitler knew the War was unavoidable. And Ribbentrop too. They had not another choice.

Yes I agree with you, Repe. And about the Poles preparing to attack Danzig too. The book is a general overview and Nick did not even mention that alleged Ribbentrop advice to Hitler about British war intentions. It just came up as he spoke to me. I should have questioned him when he said it, but I didn't have the facts at hand so just let it pass. That particular Ribbentrop story is so entrenched in the history books, but when one thinks about it, it's really flakey.

And let's remember, Nick was speaking to a British audience in London; the book is therefore written to a British audience, so it contains plenty for them to chew on.

I do believe Ribbentrop was a good man and served Hitler honestly. The judges at Nuremberg thought so too.

Twice my comment was not posted because I got an error that said connection was lost even though my computer was still connected to the internet. I also has problems with the captcha which were difficult to figure out a couple characters. Anyway, glad to see you've done a long overdue program. Yes I've missed your shows.

Thanks for persevering! Smile

Great to have a small book, and no problem with that. I am glad Mr Kollerstrom did mention the book by Gerry Docherty and Jim Macgregor, "Hidden History, The Secret Origins of WW1"

I my opinion it is essential reading for anyone wishing to understand why Britain wanted to attack Germany, in fact destroy Germany.

In the background was what those authors called the "Secret Elite" which consisted of 5 men, but the tentacles of the Elite extended much further into the British Establishment. For example Churchill, Balfour, Asquith, Lloyd George, Grey, Haldane, Ernest Cassels, Edward VII and Gearge V were not part of it while carrying out its agenda by being major players in the fermentation of WW1.  Eventually those tentacles also reached right into the American Establishment as well.

Within the secret elite were three men namely Nathan Rothschild, Alfred Milner and Lord Esher who exerted the most influence. Rothschild was a Jew and  Alfred Milner looks Jewish (to me). Esher was the liaison man into the Royal Family. The Rothschild family background was Frankfurt and the Jews are always seem to go over the top in their desire for revenge. The Rothschilds in spite of all their money were rejected by German Society when they lived there. The enmity against Germany I believe simply emanates from Rothschild. Also there was Edmund de Rothschild in Paris which accounts for France's warmongering. The Rothschilds financed the British Royal Family's purchase of both the Balmoral and Sandringham Estates, and Edward VII was more comfortable in the company of the Rothschilds than he was in the company of his own people. Edward VII even had his coat of Arms over a bed in a Parisan brothel. Money weilds Power and influence.

The book goes into the Boer Wars and Cecil Rhodes' Will and the rise of Alfred Milner which are important to understand in relation to the instigation of WW1.

Nathan Rothschild and all the Rothschilds like to lurk in the background, but Nathan Rothschild was very much "hands-on". In fact, there is a quote which is very revealing by Dorothy Pinto who married into the Rothschild family. “As a child I thought Lord Rothschild lived at the Foreign Office because from my classroom window I used to watch his carriage standing outside every afternoon-while of course he was closeted with Arthur Balfour.”

There was really only one World War with a 20 year truce in the middle. The Rothschilds really wanted to destroy Germany and if you have the ability to create the world's money supply, you have the ability to make wars. As the wife of Mayer Amschel Rothschild said, "If my sons did not want war, there would be none."

Researchers in my opinion need to pull the Rothschilds out of the background into the foreground.

People nowadays like short sound bites, and Mr Kollerstrom's book is a starting point. People need to know how and why WW1 started. It is not enough to know the origins of WW2 only.

I would like to add that the “Secret elite” took great pains to cover their tracks, which is why it is so difficult to piece together the history of the real cause of WW1. After the War, Herbert Hoover was entrusted with the removal and destruction of any documents that could be incriminating. He employed 1000 agents masquerading as scholars to go all around Europe to collect documents. He was already a trusted Rothschild agent having enriched the Rothschilds by his nefarious and unpopular activities in Australian mining. His cover was food relief (he was head of the “US Food administration” created under the Lever Control Act of 1917 and head of the Commission for Relief in Belgium) and the “Hoover War Collection” at Stanford University. He boasted that the collection of documents was easy. The “People were hungry !” Any document that showed the activities of the instigators of WW1 was destroyed

In 1949, Professor Carroll Quigley (1910-1977), later Bill Clinton’s mentor at Georgetown University, wrote a detailed and incisive account of the activities of the Milner Group (“The Anglo-American Establishment”, 1949) Although he himself was in broad agreement with the aims of the group, he came to this conclusion:
“No country that values its safety should allow what the Milner group accomplished – that is, that a small number of men would be able to wield such power in administration and politics, should be given almost complete control over the publication of documents relating to their action, should be able to exercise such influence over the avenues of information that create public opinion, and should be able to monopolize so completely the writing and the teaching of the history of their own period.”
Power Behind The Government Today (1963) Lassell:
In her book Helen Lassell writes that The Council on Foreign Relations, an organization supported by The Rockefeller Foundation, The Carnegie Corporation and others, made up its mind that no “revisionism” was to be encouraged after World War II: The following is an extract from the 1946 Report of The Rockefeller Foundation, referring to the Council’s work:

“The Committee on Studies of the Council on Foreign Relations is concerned that the debunking journalistic campaign following World War 1 should not be repeated and believes that the American public deserves a clear and competent statement of our basic aims and activities during the second World War.”

Accordingly, a three volume history of the War was to be prepared under the direction of Professor William Langer of Harvard , in which (one must gather this from the use of the term “debunking”) no revisionism was to appear. In other words, the official propaganda of World War 1 was to be perpetuated. - and the public was to be protected against learning the truth.
