John Lewis an example of why Congress should have term limits

Black on Black - Presidential Medal of Freedom awarded to John Lewis by Barack Obama in 2011. This gives Lewis the right to speak out with "moral authority."

IF WE DON'T HAVE TO WATCH WHAT WE SAY about our new president-elect, who was just selected by 63,000,000 Americans in a national election, why should we have to watch what we say about a single congressman who represents only 170,000 who voted for him, uncontested, in one district of the state of Georgia. The 5th congressional district John Lewis is elected from is 60% African-American, assuring him of re-election every time (because Blacks overwhelmingly vote for their own race).

I live in Texas. I don't give a fig about John Lewis in Georgia or what he thinks. I am White, so I also don't give a fig about all the drama he helped create back in the 1960's in Selma, Alabama. And, yes, I was aware of it at the time. Lewis was head of the communist "Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee" (SNCC - pronounced "Snick"). From my point of view, John Lewis did damage to the country I live in, and to my way of life. I don't have to respect him just because the elite media decided to adopt the civil rights movement as a sacred chapter in U.S. history and to protectively surround all involved with political correctness.

Trump is being politically correct in saying Nazi Germany “leaked fake news”

President-elect Trump points to a reporter at his first post-election press conference today, during which he glibly singled out Nazi Germany as a purveyor of fake news.

by Carolyn Yeager

IT HAD TO HAPPEN. Donald Trump has done well to refrain from mentioning the so-called 'holocaust' or Adolf Hitler in any of his public pronouncements. But today he compared the publication of a nasty leaked "intelligence" document about himself that he is calling fake news to how news was handled in Nazi Germany. In doing so, he has kow-towed to political correctness, or revealed a very ignorant streak in his own knowledge of history, or both.

In an early morning tweet in response to the report's publication by Buzzfeed (online) and coverage of the document by CNN, Trump wrote

Intelligence agencies should never have allowed this fake news to "leak" into the public. One last shot at me. Are we living in Nazi Germany?

Jews (who else?) object to returning Munich's N-S era art museum to its original appearance

Artist's rendering of London architect David Chipperfield's proposed exterior "renovation" of the Munich House of Art. Basically, he simply removes the row of trees planted across the front, post-war, that obscure the distinctive column facade, and widens the street to facilitate a more expansive view.

STAR ARCHITECT David Chipperfield’s plan to restore Munich’s Haus der Kunst to its original Nazi-era state has provoked blow-back amongst Jewish groups and the political left.

The 1937-era building sits at Prinzregentenstraße at the southern end of the English Garden and is scheduled to undergo the renovation work at the end of 2017. The Bavarian government has allocated €58 million to the project, with €20 million chipped in from the Federal government (totaling $83.7 million). Bavarian Culture Minister Ludwig Spaenle approved the plan, which has surprised many by being essentially a restoration of the exterior and surrounding grounds to its original Nazi-era state.

A Polish Catholic denies Hitler's religiosity with false 'facts'

Danusha V. Goska identifies herself as a Polish Catholic writer who wants to dispell negative  stereotypes about Poles.

By Carolyn Yeager

FRIDAY IN MY INBOX I FOUND A FORWARDED ARTICLE by a certain Danusha Goska from a site I never look at, the 'progressive' pro-Israel website Front Page Mag. It was titled “Hitler's Religion,” so I began to read it. Long and tedious as it was, I was losing interest until I got near the end to the paragraphs I've reproduced below.

The article was based on a new book by Richard Weikart, Hitler's Religion: The Twisted Beliefs that Drove the Third Reich. Goska writes that “Weikart makes the case that Hitler's God was a Darwin-inspired, non-personal, pantheistic deity exacting a pitiless survival-of-the-fittest-through-struggle morality.” Weikart (and Goska) wants to kill the idea that Hitler and National-Socialist Germany were ever, in any way, Christian - thus that any of his policies could have had a Christian basis. The idea is to refute the more common historical opinion that German Christians perverted or set aside their native Christian beliefs in order to participate in National-Socialism, up to and including the horrors of the “holocaust.”

Donald Trump should apologize to supporters for calling them “violent, vicious”

President-elect Donald Trump speaks to supporters at a rally in Orlando, Florida on Dec. 16, 2016 as part of his post-election "Thank You Tour".

by Carolyn Yeager

LAST NIGHT IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA, our president-elect actually said to his enthusiastic base of loyal supporters who had gathered by the thousands to show their love and appreciation for him:

“You people were vicious, violent, screaming 'Where's the wall, we want the wall' … screaming 'Prison, prison, lock her up,' I mean you are going crazy, I mean you were nasty and mean and vicious, and you wanted to win, right?

Now, same crowd … now, it's much different. Now, you're laid back, you're cool, you're mellow, right? You're basking in the glory of victory, and we're already getting to work.”

Why Hofer lost: Two views

Published by carolyn on Wed, 2016-12-07 14:07

Did the candidate go too soft or was the electorate too indoctrinated?

Pegida's Lutz Bachmann on Monday advised anti-immigration candidates to make a sharp distinction from the establishment and to "Be like Trump" in order to win.

Below is an unedited automatic Google translation from yesterday's article in the Epoch Times titled “Call the police for a strike!”: Pegida boss Bachmann appeals to Ranier Wendt”.

Lutz Bachmann delivered a speech in Dresden yesterday. The head of the controversial citizens' movement Pegida demanded a strike of the police in Germany.

Norbert Hofer had lost Austria because he had become too soft, Bachmann said in his speech. This is a mistake that many conservative and patriotic forces make - they would over time mitigate their cleverness, hoping, however, to allow some of their opponents mild voices. "I've also made this mistake in the past months," said the Pegida founder. Press and politicians would turn their opponents anyway from any knot, no matter whether formulated harder or softer.

He [Bachmann] had realized that one could only win with absolutly clear speech without concessions. That was [the case with] the election of Donald Trump to the US President, said Bachmann. Trump had been "oblique" and "inflexible", was "lined up" [targeted] by the press, and had been chosen by the Americans precisely for this reason. "Our commandment of the hour is: Be like Trump," said Bachmann.

John Derbyshire gives a lesson in 'White Supremacy' but needs one himself

Published by carolyn on Mon, 2016-12-05 19:23

By Carolyn Yeager

I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO JOHN DERBYSHIRE'S PODCASTS AT VDARE.com since last August or so. I'm always looking for something to keep me company during mundane tasks and his low-key and often humorous commentary, without any commercial breaks, is quite to my liking. All was going well until his latest program of 12/01/16 that contained the segment “Who's a white supremacist?” Commenting on the furor over imagined White Supremacy in the Trump transition team and future Trump White House, Derbyshire vexed me no end with his description of what he considers the only true white supremacists – Nazis.

Now I have known for a long time that Derbyshire was a friend to Jews; therefore would not be a fan of Nazis. He seems pretty much on the same page with Jared Tayor on Jews – 'they look White to me.' However, seems to me that Taylor puts himself out there doing important, even difficult, racial work that somewhat makes up for it, that Derbyshire can't claim.

The Trump-Romney Question

Published by carolyn on Wed, 2016-11-30 23:14

The expressions in this photograph are priceless.

By Carolyn Yeager

I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYONE BRING UP WHAT SEEMS OBVIOUS TO ME. Donald Trump is working to bridge the gap between Mitt Romney and himself as part of his stated goal to unite the Republican party behind him. Romney, as his most vociferous critic, and also the highest status person in that wing of the party, can bring all other “Never Trumpers” around with him.

Trump's goal is to unite the entire country behind him. He's starting with the Republican party and with the party's former top Republican, Romney, by dangling in front of him the prestigious Secretary of State position. Brilliant? Certainly. We the people, and certainly we who have been Trump supporters from the beginning need to stop second-guessing our man and instead sit back and enjoy what he is unfolding before our wondering eyes. It's great and it's going to get even greater!

With 5 days to Austrian presidential election, Hofer holds onto narrow lead in polls

Published by carolyn on Wed, 2016-11-30 10:28

Alexander Van der Bellen (left) and Norbert Hofer during a joint appearance on Nov. 26th.

WITH THE RE-RUN ELECTION ONLY 5 DAYS AWAY ON SUNDAY, DEC. 4TH, Norbert Hofer appears to be holding his lead over Alexander Van der Bellen. In some polls, Hofer is at 52% to VdB's 48%.

According to bookmaker Paddy Power as of November 23, Hofer’s odds of becoming the next Austrian President were 4/9; Mr Van der Bellen was just behind him with odds of 13/8 .

It is thought that Mr Hofer has been given a boost by Donald Trump’s populist victory in America and the anti-establishment vote for Brexit in the UK. If he triumphs, he will be seen as Europe’s first “far-right” leader to be elected since the end of the Second World War. Hofer correctly rejects the term “far-right” and says he and his party are mainstream because they are in alighnment with the Austrian people. His party strongly opposes the “Islamisation of Europe” and has proposed a full ban on wearing the burka in public. The other parties are left, with the Green Party, which Van der Bellen led for 10 years, being a far-left party.

USHMM takes on the Alt-Right

Published by carolyn on Wed, 2016-11-23 22:22

Richard Spencer, Jared Taylor and Kevin MacDonald talking about White people's interests in relation to Pres-elect Donald Trump inspires images like this to the United States Holocaust Museum staff.

Hadding Scott has posted a good article at the CODOH website in response to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's over-reaction by Andrew Hollinger concerning Richard Spencer's Saturday night NPI conference in Washington D.C. Hadding writes:

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is obviously not just a museum, but has a mission of political propaganda in service to specifically Jewish interests. On Monday, 21 November 2016, the museum issued a public condemnation of statements reported to have been made by Richard Spencer in a speech at a conference of his National Policy Institute two days earlier, just a short distance from the USHMM. The museum declared itself “deeply alarmed” and called for action.

The text of the declaration makes clear that the author of the museum's proclamation did not even bother to make a careful determination of what Spencer had said, but simply trusted accounts given by news-media. The USHMM really did not have to rely on press-reports, since the conference was streamed live on YouTube, and the content was accessible immediately afterward. Because the USHMM relied on news-media, its account of what Spencer said is not entirely accurate. Continue reading at Codoh.com
