Political supporters  should contact German Embassies and Consulates on his behalf.

BERLIN (AP) — Bavarian prosecutors say a German neo-Nazi who spent seven years on the run until he was captured in Portugal has been extradited to Germany to serve his prison sentence.

The Nuremberg-Fuerth prosecutor’s office said Wednesday that 54-year-old Gerhard Ittner was flown to Germany on Tuesday and will begin serving his 33-month sentence for slander, racial hatred and other crimes.

Ittner was convicted in 2005, but fled before he could be imprisoned. He was captured by Portuguese authorities in April and has been in custody there since then.

Bavarian officials say the one-time member of the now-defunct German People’s Union party was a known Holocaust denier who used the Internet to spread far-right propaganda between 2002 and 2004.  Oh my, Oh my. Such a crime. Such a bad boy. He must be (severely) punished!

Now is the time to continue to write and call German authorities with the following message:

I protest the incarceration of Gerhard Ittner by the Federal Republic of Germany for the exercise of his freedom of speech. No one should be imprisoned for their political speech!

This is a violation of the idea of human rights that we are told belong to us as members of a free society. Germany since 1945 is an un-democratic nation - an occupied country in which Germans are persecuted in large numbers by their own government.

If Lui Ziaobo is honored in Germany and is getting the Nobel Peace Prize in the West for protesting against political censorship of speech in China, then Gerhard Ittner should get the Nobel Prize also, instead of a prison term!
