OF COURSE IT WAS, would be my answer to the title question. That the two occur at the same time cannot be accidental. The Solstice came first, of course, because it's an effect of the earth's rotation on it's axis – it occurs when the angle of the earth relative to the sun reaches its farthest southern point. Every year at this turning point, each day has a little more daylight until we reach the Summer Solstice – although the temperatures still get colder for awhile. During the three winter months – January-February-March – the earth is at rest and little outdoor work can be done.

The same people who built Europe built the bronze-age Minoan civilization, DNA analysis shows.

The first advanced Bronze-Age civilization, the Minoans of present-day Crete, was built by the descendants of the original settlers who had their greatest genetic similarity with modern European populations, according to a University of Washington study.

A team of researchers in the United States and Greece has used mitochondrial DNA analysis of Minoan skeletal remains to determine the likely ancestors of these ancient people.

English genetic heritage is not German.

The longstanding and commonly held misconception that the English are quite nearly the same as Germans undermines that warrant by lending itself to the propositional argument that England is a nation of immigrants and therefore the English do not have a unique claim to their land.

Of course, there is also my “nefarious” motivation to show that the English have not been merely misguided and “disloyal” Germans, who need to understand why, as Germans, they should have acted precisely in lock-goose step with Nazi Germany.

Science and reality do not care about your anti-Germanism. The genetic data says what it says; Oppenheimer incorrectly claimed what he claimed; you’ve promoted the misinformation you’ve promoted. You can rage at Germany as much as you want, but you don’t get to make up facts to suit your politics.

On a global scale, the English are “quite nearly the same as Germans” (just as they’re “quite nearly the same” as most other NW Europeans). A substantial fraction of English ancestry does in fact represent “recent” Germanic immigration (which has comparatively little to do with the modern republic of Germany and more to do with the Low Countries and Denmark; modern Germany likely has not insubstantial amounts of Celtic ancestry).

The English do not need any justification to control their own territory. They don’t require moral absolution from an Italo-Pole or Japanese. Attempting to found a justification on denying Germanic ancestry among the English means you are arguing, e.g., the Welsh have a greater claim to England than the English, or that to acknowledge Germanic settlement (and later continental European immigration into Britain) somehow justifies the replacement of the English in England with subcontinentals, Africans, or Japanese.

Greece has come up with "war crimes" from WWII against "Nazi" Germany that they want today's German government to compensate them for, and which they say amount to several hundred billions of euros. Germany's economy minister has called it "stupid" but the new Greek government, with a communist at its head, isn't giving up. Are these legitimate claims or just another instance of wanting to "stick it to Germany?"

Carolyn looks into the historical background of the claims and at what some financial experts say.

The Delusion of Human Equality

The liberal age's picture of the world is based on the one important premise, an assumption  promulgated as dogma in the French Revolution of 1789, that humans are by nature equal. Human reason [Vernunft] was allegedly the very thing that would unite all humans on the Earth and make them ready -- some sooner, others later -- to take part in the great ideal global culture, its blessings and its peace. The laws of logic, so one said, were everywhere the same and were valid not only for Europeans but also for Negroes. That however implied the duty of educating humans more and more into clever beings guided only by calculation [Verstand]. The appeal was made to the individual and his insight that had been given to him, whereby he was supposed to overcome the dark drives of emotion and of the will to live, which stem from an earlier stage of development and are unworthy of a modern man.

The FINAL CHAPTER of The International Jew is not only a reminder  of the unity of Jews (which is the basis of their strength) vs. the disunity of “Gentiles,” but also an exhortation to the “superior strain” of the non-Jewish races  to liberate itself from the influence of Jewish Orientalism.

• Our Race, the White European “superior strain,” must unite in the moral and religious principles that made our race great to begin with;
• The solution to the Jewish Question will begin in the United States, but not by the mass of people but by a sufficient number of qualified people who are not timid or soft;
• Unrestricted immigration of ideas has been as bad for the American mentality as unrestricted immigration of people is bad for American society;
• “The Chosen People” is one of two great biblical ideas, but Jews are not that people – the House of Israel and the House of Judah are distinct to this day;
• The solution at this stage is to disengage from, to eschew the poisonous ideas and entertainments that Jewry offers to us.
