"Hitler's Table Talk" Study Hour: Episode 4

Carolyn Yeager and Ray Goodwin read and comment on the August 1st-10th, 1941 dinner table monologues by the German Führer, as taken down by an adjutant and checked for accuracy by Martin Bormann. Some highlights from the program:
- Even though German functionaries are incorruptible, too much uniformity and fear of initiative is not a good thing;
- Hitler's sympathetic attitude toward workers, and his dislike of the bourgeoisie and the plutocracy;
- Hydro-electric and gas works - the future will depend on water, wind and natural gas;
- The British method of ruling their empire was not to try to Anglicize the people, but to leave them to live according to their own ways;
- Hitler sees the combined forces of Germany, England, the Nordic countries and Italy as greater than the USA.

This German(ic)-Slavic (and Romanic) equality debate is needed to understand European dynamics. There are more groups to consider (Finno-Hungarian, Celts, Baltics, etc) but the three main groups have this struggle amongst each other the most, imo.
Slavs always counter that their countries are in bad shape because of Communism. It’s been 20 years since that is over. And the GDR was communistic, as well, and surprisingly the most successful economy of the entire Eastern Bloc. I remind everyone that the GDR was completely bombed out, plundered, had to pay reparations, was cut off its Western and Eastern Reich supply lines and many millions of German men died or were in prison or gulags for up to 15 years after 1945.
Slavs have always benefitted a great deal under German leadership. The Austrians developed South-Central Europe, the Prussians Poland, and most royal families in all European countries were ethnic Germans, including the Russian Romanows.
Today, Germans are completely wiped out of Eastern Europe and Russia, and what do masses of Slavs do? They go the Western Europe, mostly to the Germanic countries. Where is Putin, when you need him? He could invite German(ics) to Russia and not Turks and Asiatics.
And success of the German race is not solely based on conquest, colonialism or monopolization as I hear so often. (Merkel runs the EU, blah blah). Iceland, Norway and Switzerland are not part of the EU and traditionally non-conquering tribes. Nevertheless, the three countries have the most successful economies, in relation to their size, ignoring Germany that in itself is the most successful economy in the world in relation to its size (in comparison with the US, Russia and China).
If Germans would run the Russian Empire and Austria would still be the powerhouse of the South-Central European Slavic countries, their economies would flourish. Russia alone is so big and full of opportunities. German Arbeit and duty would create millions of jobs for Slavs in their home countries and they would not have to leave their homelands and settle in the already overcrowded Germanic lands.
I don’t see why these facts are hateful. White Unity!

Oh, and then I always hear of the token-genius, Slavic Nicola Tesla. Where did he materilize his studies? In Germany and Anglo-Saxon America, not Croatia or Russia. Why was there no pre-existing top notch Slavic civilization, where he could go?
And don’t forget that Putin spent many years in Germany and gathered intelligence of German society. His daughters, he sent to German private school. He is a Russian nationalist, but his methods of success are German, at least in part.

Very interesting material. I don’t have the time or information at my fingertips but here in Ireland we have a political website that continually spouts lies about this era and Hitler in particular. I would be delighted to see some of you guys or gals setting the record straight. Thanks for this very informative series of shows. Since I’ve been hearing about Hitler “the monster” ever since I can remember it is somewhat shocking to hear from Hitler “the person”. Thanks for sharing this important information; it is on par with exposing the holocaust exaggerations as an antidote to the barrage of shame and guilt that is thrust upon Western people.

my wife comes from Estonia and she lives with me in the Netherlands for almost 15 years now. She perfectly speaks and reads Dutch and is fully integrated and has a decent office job. The Estonian minority in Holland contains just a few hundred people. They are mostly well educated and self supported. There is a shortage of male in Estonia, and, besides that, the women are better educated. Who wants to live with a drunkard or an uneducated stupid? So a lot of Estonian women went out to Holland, Germany etc to find a decent partner. No problems at all here with the Baltics. Of course such a small minority can’t cause problems. Something you can’t say from all those people from Africa and elsewhere etc who causes a lot of trouble here (Geert Wilders).
It is perfectly clear to me that equality is the sheerest nonsense. Hitler liked the Estonians as the best Baltics. There is lot to see in Estonia that remembers of the German Era.
Sometimes I think that the racial view of Hitler on humanity resembles the original idea of the Indian caste system, which was based on human qualities and not on rights by birth.

John Rees – Did Hitler have a racial view on humanity? If so, it was that every racial group was separate and distinct, and should stay that way, but the idea of superior quality vs birthright is not about race, but class (caste).
