Ivanka Trump

Ivanka represents the opposition inside Trump White House, despite being 'first daughter'

Ivanka Trump sits next to her father in the Oval Office, where she is a more common fixture than the public is shown. The charge of nepotism is being increasingly leveled against the president.

IT'S WELL KNOWN IVANKA TRUMP IS A LIBERAL, previously a registered Democrat, now registered as an Independent. It doesn't appear she shares any of her father's political views—she is against what he is for and for what he is against. At exactly half his age, she has been on the receiving end of his advice, experience and largesse her entire life. But now that he has become leader of the entire country, this politically inexperienced daughter is doing her best to get him to listen to her about how he governs. She currently holds the title of assistant to the president, and has been given her own office in the West Wing on the floor above him.

Only one Jewish speaker during the four-day Republican nominating convention

Published by carolyn on Mon, 2016-07-18 02:26

One of the entrances to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.

THE ONLY JEW I COULD IDENTIFY FROM THE SPEAKER'S SCHEDULE WAS MICHAEL MUKASEY, George W. Bush's Attorney General. Out of over 60 speakers, that is pretty amazing.

I know you will quickly tell me that Ivanka Trump, who has the honor of introducing her father on Thursday night for his acceptance speech – is Jewish. Yes, of course, she certainly is. But she is not an “invited” speaker, she is family so no way to avoid her. Then, too, she is considered the greatest thing since sliced bread by everyone, to the point that she was seriously suggested as a good choice for Trump's running mate!

Ivanka Trump's rabbi pulls out of GOP Convention spot

Rabbi Haskel Lookstein in a recent photo.

JEWS ARE CAUSING THEIR USUAL TROUBLE, in this case for the Republican National Convention.

Ivanka Trump's rabbi, Haskel Lookstein, has pulled out of his scheduled speaker spot of giving an invocation at the Republican National Convention next week because of “backlash from the Jewish community.”

[You will recall my previous post about one of rabbi Lookstein's conversions to the Jewish faith being rejected by a high Rabbinical Court in Jerusalem. However, this decision was subsequently changed by the Supreme Rabbinical Court in Israel, which accepted the woman's personal committment in court.]

Lookstein said he had been personally asked to speak by Ivanka, the daughter of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, but added that when his name appeared on the speakers’ list, another Jew from the Ramaz school where Lookstein was or is the principal started a petition urging him to decline because of Trump's association with "White supremacists".

Hurray! Ivanka Trump may not be a Jew after all

Published by carolyn on Mon, 2016-07-11 18:06

Just think, she may be prevented from being associated with this elite gathering. What a blow!

IF SHE IS NOT ACCEPTED AS A JEW IN ISRAEL, then her children cannot be either. Trump's grandkids are possibly saved by a kippah.

According to a story in Britain's Daily Telegraph, Ivanka's conversion by an American rabbi doesn't hold water in Israel because the Chief Rabbinate of Israel has ruled that conversions supervised by New York rabbi Haskel Lookstein are invalid in the Jewish state.

A powerful and ultra-orthodox institution headquartered in Jerusalem, the Rabbinate wields major influence in the Israeli state. They and ultra-Orthodox political parties play key roles in Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government. While he is secular, he "seems paralyzed" on the issue. But the case has been appealed to the Supreme Rabbinical Court, which could overturn the ruling. Too bad if it does.

My advice to Donald Trump: Ditch your daughter

Published by carolyn on Tue, 2016-02-02 12:52

From the campaign, that is. I'm one of those diehard Trump supporters, so I can overlook almost any reasonably normal human failings in the man and his family. But I just don't like the precious Ivanka, and I don't think anyone else does either. She comes across as too perfect, and even though smiling and trying to relate she remains someone living in a very different world than you and I and she is looking down from there. The terrible video she made to help her father in Iowa (pictured) was way too focused on herself, as though she's a selling point.

Trump needs to be convinced that Ivanka is not an asset to his campaign; nor would she be an asset to his presidency. He kept repeating the line, “Wouldn't it be great if Ivanka had her baby in Iowa?” when no one cared where she had her baby. She is not popular, he is. We don't love her, he does.
