Now everyone is comparing President Trump to Andrew Jackson

OVER 3 MONTHS AGO, ON OCT. 4, 2016, I made this post about Donald Trump, who was not yet elected, as being most comparable to the 7th US president, Andrew Jackson. I had not seen anyone else make that comparison, but it occurred to me in a strong way and I followed my inspiration. I was certainly prescient since now, only one week after Trump's inaugaration, everyone and his brother is comparing our 45th president to Andrew Jackson.

Donald Trump is our Andrew Jackson

FORGET RONALD REAGAN. TRUMP IS BIGGER AND BOLDER in his views and potential as a change-maker than our 40th president ever was. If elected, Trump will be equal to no less than our 7th president, the great Andrew Jackson.

I am not an expert on all the details of US history, but over the years I've come to appreciate Andrew Jackson to the point that I call him my favorite president. He was an interesting individual, and I like that he fought so hard for the people against the vested interests of the time, which were basically the same as now. I like that he put the American people, his people, first.

Just today, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell introduced President Trump at the Republican retreat in Philadelphia by saying that Andrew Jackson was the first non-establishment president, was known as the voice of the people, served two terms and changed America. "My first visit to the new president in the Oval Office the other day, I looked up behind his desk and there was a sculpture .. of Andrew Jackson. How appropriate."

Then he said, "Join me in welcoming the next president who's going to make history and turn America around - Donald Trump."

McConnell was mistaken on two counts, however. It was a painting of Jackson in the oval office, not a sculpture, plus the Majority Leader mispoke and actually said Andrew Johnson (the 17th President, after Abraham Lincoln). Maybe he's a little forgetful at age 74? In any case, McConnell has really warmed up to Trump since he became president, it seems to me.

McConnell is not the only one who's been pairing Trump with Jackson during Trump's first week in office. It seems to be the name on many lips. Trump himself said through a spokeswoman that Jackson was “an amazing figure in American history -- very unique [in] so many ways,” according to The New York Times.

Right you were, Carolyn.  I remember reading your original post.  Jackson was perhaps our greatest president... especially because of his hard fought and won battle against the Rothschild banksters of his day.  More than anything else, this eternal enemy of the world should be our main focus for destruction.  All other problems flow from this illimitable fount of usurious funds which they use to corrupt our nations.
